If you enjoy the various types of skiing that are on offer, or if you're into hiking or watersports, Moûtiers and the surrounding region have just what you're looking for. Near to the spa resorts of Brides-les-Bains and La Léchère you can canoe down the Isère river through the heart of the town, or you can take advantage of the Alpine lakes or the waterfalls which are great for fishing. How about riding some of the stages of the Tour de France route? There's nothing to stop you! Within cycling distance of the hotel there are several passes and a range of other routes including mountain bike trails.

The town of Moûtiers is not short of culture either, because it has a rich historical heritage. Take advantage of your stay in the Tarentaise region to visit one of the many baroque churches, and marvel at the array of colours in the decor and the gold of the altarpieces. If you visit the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions you'll see displays showing the region's past customs. The Historical and Archaeological museum is also well worth a visit and will take you back in time. And when it comes to gastronomy, Savoy has specialities that you simply have to taste, including the prince of gruyere cheeses, the 'Beaufort' (accompanied by some local wines).
